Sweet Balsamic Peaches

Sweet Balsamic Peaches                                                    


4 peaches, sliced into wedges                                           

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar                                           

1 tablespoon honey                                                     


2 tablespoons fresh basil, thinly sliced                              



1.    Combine peach slices or strawberries with balsamic vinegar and honey 

2.    Heat saute pan over medium heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray 

3.    Add fruit mixture to pan and cook until softened, about 5 minutes 

4.    Remove from heat and let cool 

5.    Garnish with basil and serve 


*Fresh mint would be a good substitute for basil 



* Alternative cooking method for peaches

1.    Slice peaches in half and remove the pit 

2.    Combine balsamic vinegar and honey and brush onto the flesh side of the peaches 

3.    Place peaches flesh side down on grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes 

4.    Garnish with fresh herbs
